Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and services provided by LastBill (ABN 85 657 309 558) (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using our service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our service

LastBill is a bill analysis service. We read the electricity bill you upload, generate a personalised energy report and verdict, and give you a private dashboard to work from. If — and only if — you ask us to, we can also request quotes for you from installers you select (see the Quote Sharing Terms in section 5). The service is free to you; when an installation you have chosen goes ahead, the installer pays us a referral fee. You never pay us anything.

2. Not professional advice

Your report contains estimates and general information only. It is not financial, legal, tax, engineering or professional advice, and figures (including savings, costs, projections and system sizing) are indicative and not guaranteed. You should obtain independent advice and your own quotes before making any decision.

2a. Automated bill reading and report accuracy

Reports are generated by automated (AI) analysis of the bill you upload. While we work hard on accuracy, automated reading can occasionally misread a figure, tariff or date — for example where a bill is blurry, unusual in format, or incomplete. You should check the key figures in your report against your original bill before relying on them.

If a report contains an error, tell us and we will use our best efforts to correct it promptly and reissue the report. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from decisions made on a misread figure that a reasonable check against your original bill would have identified. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Your responsibilities

• You must be 18 or over and provide accurate, current information;
• You confirm you are the account holder for the bill you upload, or are authorised to upload it and to share its contents;
• You must not misuse, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our service.

4. Your data — private by default

Your bill and personal information are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. In short: we do not sell your personal information, we use it to produce your report and run your dashboard, and nothing is shared with any installer unless you explicitly request quotes under section 5. You can delete your uploaded bill at any time, and uploads without an account are automatically deleted within 24 hours.

5. Quote Sharing Terms (apply only if you request quotes)

These terms apply only when you ask us to get you quotes, and you will be asked to agree to them at that moment — not before.

• What we share: your quote pack — your energy profile (usage, suburb, suggested system), your name, contact details and property address, your bill, and any photos you added for quoting.
• Who receives it: only the installers you select when you make the request. We show you the list before you confirm.
• Why: so they can prepare an accurate quote — usually without a site visit — and follow it up with you.
• What they may do: installers receiving your pack may contact you about your quote. They are permitted to use your information only for quoting and arranging your job — not for unrelated marketing.
• Our payment: if you proceed with an installer we referred, that installer pays us a referral fee. This never changes the price you pay, and we tell you about it openly because it is how the service stays free for you.
• Your record: we record your consent (date and time) when you request quotes, and you can see who received your pack in your dashboard.

6. Installers and third parties

We are not a solar installer and do not provide installation, products or financing. Any installer or third party you deal with is independent of us. We are not responsible for their conduct, quotes, advice, products, workmanship, or any agreement you enter into with them, and we are not a party to any such agreement. You deal with them at your own discretion — though we vet the installers in our network and want to know if one falls short.

7. Intellectual property

The website, its content and the LastBill brand are owned by us or our licensors. Your report is provided for your personal use. You retain ownership of the bill and information you upload, and grant us the limited rights described in our Privacy Policy to use it to provide the service.

8. Disclaimers and liability

Our service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service, your report, or your dealings with installers or third parties. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to re-supplying the service.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any loss or claim arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the service.

10. Termination and changes

We may suspend, withdraw or change the service, or update these Terms, at any time. The current version will always be available on this page. Changes to the Quote Sharing Terms will not apply retrospectively to a request you have already made.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
