stop renting your power
Stop Renting Your Power.
A power bill is rent for electricity. You can keep renting, or you can own the thing that makes it.
See how the bill-first diagnosis worksStop Renting Your Power is the honest SEQ version — then your own bill, not a national average.
A useful electricity diagnosis begins with the bill rather than a guessed house profile or a product recommendation.
What the method checks
It separates fixed supply charges from usage charges, identifies time-of-use periods, and records any solar exports. It then compares the household’s daytime and evening pattern with the available solution categories.
What honest evidence looks like
The method uses current tariffs and approved program information, shows its assumptions, and keeps market-wide figures separate from the household calculation. The ABS reported electricity costs 22.4% higher over the year to June 2026. The ACCC reported in December 2025 that households on the same plan for more than three years paid $221 a year more on average than customers on new plans. Neither figure predicts an individual outcome.
What the method cannot decide from a headline
A tariff switch, solar system or battery can only be assessed against the actual usage shape, site constraints, current program rules and quote details. A credible process can conclude that the evidence is incomplete or that waiting is the better option.

Questions on this one
What does a bill-first diagnosis examine?+
It separates fixed charges, usage periods, rates and exports, then states the assumptions and evidence used for any comparison.
Does the method always recommend equipment?+
No. A credible method can conclude that evidence is incomplete, a tariff check comes first, or waiting is the better option.
Are market averages enough to make a decision?+
No. Aggregate evidence provides context, while an individual decision still depends on actual usage, site constraints and current program rules.
